POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Welder Department: Welding
Status: Full-Time / Non-Exempt Reporting Manager: Welding Foreman

Major Responsibilities/Activities:
- Ability to pass welding test using Flux Core in horizontal position.
- Capable of welding horizontally, flat and in overhead positions.
- Ability to join parts by applying heat to permanently fuse the metal together.
- Experience in operating hand-welding and/or flame-cutting equipment to join metal components or for the purpose of filling in spaces, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.
- The welder monitors the fitting, burning, and all welding processes to avoid overheating of parts of materials relating to warping, shrinking, distortion or expansion.
- Usage of overhead cranes to move large pieces of material.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 75lbs
- Bending, Stooping, Kneeling and Reaching
- Ability to stand for lengthy periods of time
Required Skills:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience welding.
- Ability to read small print on the shop drawings
Education Requirement:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
