- Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces of metal parts, structures, or machinery for painting or coating applications.
- Apply industrial and construction-grade paints using airless paint sprayers, brushes, rollers, or spray guns to achieve smooth, even finishes.
- Use hand tools such as grinders, scrapers, sanders, and wire brushes to remove rust, old paint, or surface contaminants before painting.
- Handle materials safely by utilizing forklifts, cranes, or other warehouse equipment for moving heavy components or materials.
- Conduct surface inspections with precision measuring instruments to ensure proper preparation and coating thicknesses.
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during sandblasting and painting processes.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety standards are upheld.
- Assist with fabrication or assembly tasks as needed within the manufacturing environment.
- Support quality control efforts by inspecting finished surfaces for defects or inconsistencies and making necessary touch-ups.
- Document work processes accurately in logs or reports to ensure traceability and compliance with industry regulations.
- Previous experience in industrial painting, sandblasting, or auto body repair is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments involving machining, fabrication, or assembly processes.
- Hands-on knowledge of power tools, hand tools, welding techniques, and auto painting methods.
- Experience operating forklifts, cranes, or other heavy machinery is a plus.
- Understanding of materials handling procedures within a warehouse setting.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating thicknesses and surface preparation.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
