- Actively engage in the learning process covering a variety of topics. Some examples of potential topics include
- Steel mill operations and downstream processing (for Steel Dynamics STEP Trainees)
- Sales and customer relationship management
- Shadow experienced team members across departments (operations, procurement, sales, etc.) and gain hands-on experience.
- Complete weekly logs of activities completed throughout the week and participate in weekly touch-base with program manager.
- Participate in internal training classes as directed.
- Demonstrate growth in knowledge, initiative, and leadership potential throughout the program.
- Network with internal and external customers.
- Follow all company protocols and policies regarding safety, including wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Bachelors degree in a related field
- Willing to travel for extended periods of time
- Willing to work in an industrial/hands-on environment (outdoors and around heavy equipment)
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite Outlook, Excel, Work, PowerPoint
- Eagerness to learn, strong work ethic, and commitment to personal and professional growth
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willing to follow all safety regulations and advocate safety culture
- Willing to relocate upon completion of the program
