The Long Products Division, Steel of West Virginia is expanding and adding positions for Manual Machinists.
Pay after a brief probationary period for machinists is $27.89 per hour for the first 40 hours; $41.84 for hours over 40; and $55.78 for work on the seventh consecutive day. We also offer PRODUCTION INCENTIVE BONUS (paid weekly), Profit Sharing Bonus (twice a year - cash payment) and EXCELLENT HEALTH/DENTAL/VISION and 401(k)!!!

- Operate all equipment associated with the machine shop. This would include but not limited to the following equipment; Conventional lathes and mills, drills, broaching, sharpening, surface grinding and other associated equipment.
- Experienced in doing own set-ups
- Must be able to make complex parts from blueprints.
- Proficient in using micrometers and precision measuring equipment.
- Familiar with machine fits concerning bearings, ways, clearances, and interference fits.
- Familiar with thread types and fits and the cutting of those threads.
- Keep work space and area clean of all machining chips, garbage, oil and grease.
- Prioritize safety with a focus on using TCOS approaches.
- Read blueprints and ability to redraw and dimension sketches.
- Non-routine hours during nights and weekends may occur, including emergency call-ins.
- Other duties as required.
- Overhead crane certification (Will Train)
- Fork truck certification(Will Train)
- Pass hands on test.
Salary : $28 - $42
