The Long Products Division, Steel of West Virginia has an immediate opening for a Fabrication Foreman to oversee operations and projects for the Fabrication Department.
- Supervise employees and foster culture
- Ensure accurate equipment tracking
- Work with the team to identify and implement solutions for fabrication equipment repair and modifications
- The work area includes automation, including robot welders
- Hands-on supervision, ideally in heavy manufacturing
- Other duties as assigned
- Safety: Foremen are responsible for driving all components of “Take Control of Safety" to their teams (High Risk Exposures, PSIF Initiatives, PSIF/SIF Management, etc.)
- Toolbox Talks (Safety Alerts and other safety discussions)
- Exposure Assessments and Red Tap Challenges
- Enforcing and coaching of Cardinal Life-saving Rules
