Job title: CNC Machinist
Reports to: CNC Supervisor
Supervisory responsibilities: None.
Summary/objective: Produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine.
Pay Range: Up to $33/hour, depending on experience.
Essential functions:
- Download programs and MDI (Manual Data Input) as needed.
- Setup and machine to the proper programs and tolerances required.
- Recheck setups, change cutters and inserts, and make adjustments as needed to achieve the best possible results.
- Maintain appropriate tools and keep current on calibration.
- Keep work area clean.
- Follow all safety rules and report unsafe work conditions to management.
- Regular attendance at work during scheduled work hours.
- Employees may be requested to perform other job functions as required.
- Operate overhead cranes
- Experience with 3 axis mills
- A well rounded knowledge of cutters and inserts, and feeds/speeds.
- Candidate must have high school or equivalent education.
- Candidate must have valid driver’s license
- Experience with large mills
- Experience with right angle head
- Two years of machining experience
- Programming experience using Fusion 360 preferred
Physical demands:
- Candidate must have full use of all limbs.
- Candidate must be able to read and speak English.
- Candidate must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Position type and expected hours of work: Full time. Friday through Sunday 5:00 am – 5:15 pm.
Travel: None.
