Role Description
This is a hybrid role for an Electrical Estimator / Project Manager, with work based in Pueblo, CO and some work from home acceptable. The Electrical Estimator / Project Manager will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, managing project budgets, overseeing electrical contracting projects, and ensuring that all work complies with industry standards and regulations. Day-to-day tasks include assessing project requirements, coordinating with clients and team members, and ensuring timely project completion.
Qualifications
- Electrical Estimating, Cost Control, and Electrical Contracting skills
- Knowledge of Electricity and Electrical Engineering
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for estimating and project management
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field is preferred
- Experience in the solar energy industry is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading both electrical estimating and project management functions across multiple construction projects.
- Review construction plans and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform detailed and accurate quantity take-offs.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
- Provide innovative, practical solutions to project challenges.
- Estimate and manage projects ranging from $50K to $10M.
- Lead preconstruction planning and provide oversight through project completion.
- Supervise and support the Master Electrician in day-to-day construction activities.
- Monitor and manage budgets, costs, and financial targets to ensure profitability.
- Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with the Master Electrician
- Ensure environmental, stormwater, and safety programs are followed in accordance with company policies.
- Oversee quality control initiatives and project closeout documentation.
- Demonstrate strong delegation, follow-through, and leadership.
- Maintain a professional, dependable, and ethical approach in all work.
