Duties
- Manage the full spectrum of bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring proper double-entry bookkeeping practices are followed.
- Reconcile balance sheets and perform account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records using utilizing QuickBooks.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls for financial reporting and data security.
- Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes with precision and timeliness.
- Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and audit preparations by providing detailed account analysis and supporting documentation.
- Handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining high levels of customer service for internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles with a strong foundation in corporate and governmental accounting standards.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP principles and technical accounting concepts.
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy; proficiency in Excel data analysis and spreadsheet management is essential.
- Excellent numeracy skills combined with the ability to perform account reconciliation and journal entries efficiently.
