What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Technician/Technician position at Steamatic of Southwest Houston?
Defined Role:
- The Lead Tech is the one in charge at the job site. Other Techs will follow his or her instruction. The Lead will be the primary one to communicate to the customer on the job site.
Areas of Accountability:
- Lead Techs may specialize in cleaning or restoration services depending on the franchise
organization or they may be a lead in all services.
- The lead will follow the job scope and budget set up by the Ops Mgr.
- The lead tech is the front line representative of Steamatic, communicating directly with the customer, securing signatures and providing documents as needed.
- The Lead is responsible for carrying out all work according to industry, government and
company standards and procedures.
- Work site safety is a key priority.
- The Lead is accountable for maintaining all job documents as needed, including sketches,
work orders, and photos.
- The lead is accountable for productivity of all crews on the job and operating within budget as well as alerting the Ops Mgr of any issues.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver License, legally able to work in the US and must pass criminal background checks.
- Ability to perform physical work as required including repetitive lifting of 50 lbs.
- 1-2 years cleaning and restoration experience as a technician.
- IICRC- WTR or ASD, FSRT & CCT certification or ability to gain certifications quickly.
- Ability to use, learn and apply current and future technology as it is introduced.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
