Job Summary
We are seeking energetic and personable individuals to join our team as Server/Expo/Host. These positions are minimum wage, plus tips! You will manage reservations, seat guests efficiently, take and serve orders, and coordinate with kitchen staff to deliver exceptional service. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservations using our reservation book & Clover POS
- Seat guests promptly, ensuring efficient table turnover while maintaining excellent guest relations.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems to process transactions smoothly and efficiently.
- Serve food and drinks with enthusiasm, ensuring guest satisfaction and adherence to food safety standards.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and expediters to ensure timely delivery of orders, acting as an Expo when needed.
- Maintain clear communication with team members via phone or in-person to address guest needs promptly and professionally.
- Manage phone inquiries with proper phone etiquette, including reservation requests, to-go orders, and general questions about the restaurant.
- Support guest services by addressing concerns, providing menu recommendations, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist in organizing dining areas, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adherence to food safety standards.
- Contribute positively to team efforts by demonstrating excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and a hospitality-focused attitude.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential.
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person and over the phone.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately using POS systems like Clover
- Experience in restaurant table management systems and guest relations enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and proper serving techniques is desirable.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently.
- OLCC & Oregon Food Handlers are required within the first 30 days of employment
