Crew Trainer

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Trainer to join our vibrant food service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for training new team members, ensuring they are well-equipped with the necessary skills to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive onboarding and training sessions for new employees on food preparation, POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS), and customer service protocols.
• Demonstrate proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Assist team members with cashiering duties, including cash handling and basic math calculations for transactions.
• Support daily operations by coaching staff on upselling techniques, effective serving, bussing, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement.
• Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
• Collaborate with management to develop training materials and schedules that align with operational goals.
• Promote a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, efficiency, and professionalism.

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant operations.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and kitchen procedures.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Effective sales and upselling abilities to maximize revenue opportunities.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Ability to train others effectively while demonstrating patience and leadership qualities.
• Experience working in quick service & fast food restaurants or cafés is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail math is a plus. This role is vital in maintaining high standards of quality and service while fostering a motivated team environment dedicated to excellence in the food industry.
