The Steadman Philippon Research Institute is known throughout the world for our research into the causes, prevention, and treatment of orthopaedic disorders. SPRI offers a Research Fellow position to advance its research mission and to provide a unique opportunity for research participation to future clinicians, scientists, and engineers. Research Fellows support Steadman Philippon Research Institutes staff in research tasks for the Center for Outcomes-Based Orthopaedic Research (COOR).
Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions (may vary depending on department):
- Preparing and conducting experimental lab procedures.
- Conducting literature reviews.
- Compiling research data, preparing presentations.
- Writing manuscripts for journal publication.
- Book chapters.
- Case reports and surgical technique papers.
- Co-authorship is attainable for research assistants according to the same policy that applies to all SPRI researchers (ICMJE guidelines).
- Maintain personal commitment to the Steadman Philippon Research Institutes Foundation’s mission and values.
- Maintain confidentiality of acquired information.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Classification: Employment duration of one-year or less, full-time, non-exempt position with Temporary Full-time benefits plus monthly rent stipend reimbursement with proof of valid lease.
Requirements:- Current medical student seeking a research gap year.
