Irrigation Manager – Maintenance Division

Steadfast Contractors Alliance is seeking an experienced Irrigation Manager to lead and oversee all irrigation operations within our Maintenance Division. This leadership role is responsible for managing irrigation technicians, ensuring irrigation systems are operating efficiently across our commercial properties, and maintaining the highest standards of service for our clients.

This position plays a critical role in supporting landscape health, water management, and operational excellence across our portfolio of communities and commercial properties.

Position Overview

The Irrigation Manager will oversee the planning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of irrigation systems for the Maintenance Division. This role will supervise irrigation technicians, coordinate service schedules, and ensure systems operate efficiently and in compliance with water management regulations.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong irrigation knowledge, team leadership experience, and a commitment to quality service.

Key Responsibilities

Irrigation Operations

• Oversee all irrigation systems maintained by the Maintenance Division.

• Manage the inspection, repair, and maintenance of commercial irrigation systems.

• Diagnose irrigation issues including valves, wiring, controllers, pumps, and system pressure.

• Ensure irrigation systems are operating efficiently to support healthy landscapes while minimizing water waste.

Team Leadership

• Supervise and support irrigation technicians and field staff.

• Provide training and guidance to improve technician performance and technical skills.

• Schedule and assign irrigation service work across maintenance accounts.

• Promote accountability, teamwork, and professionalism within the irrigation team.

System Monitoring & Water Management

• Monitor irrigation performance and implement improvements to increase efficiency.

• Adjust irrigation schedules based on seasonal needs and weather conditions.

• Ensure systems are compliant with local water restrictions and regulations.

• Identify opportunities for system upgrades or improvements.

Maintenance Division Support

• Work closely with Maintenance Managers and Account Managers to support landscape health.

• Assist with troubleshooting irrigation-related plant health issues.

• Coordinate irrigation repairs to minimize disruptions to maintenance operations.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure irrigation operations follow company safety procedures.

• Maintain safe jobsite practices for all irrigation staff.

• Ensure compliance with applicable local and state regulations.

Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial irrigation systems

• Minimum 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role

• Strong experience troubleshooting irrigation systems, valves, wiring, controllers, and pumps

• Experience working with commercial landscape irrigation systems

Skills

• Strong leadership and team management abilities

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to manage multiple properties and service priorities

• Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Irrigation or landscape certifications

• Experience with commercial HOAs, CDDs, or large community properties

• Knowledge of smart irrigation controllers and water management systems
