Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver with at least 2 years experience to join our team and be home every week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to the Midwest area. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving, vehicle operation, and adherence to safety regulations. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of freight to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
Experience
- Proven 2 years experience as a Truck Driver with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems.
- Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Previous reefer operations is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
