Unarmed Security Officer

Location: Bristol, VA

Pay: $18.50 – $19.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts (10:00 AM – 10:00 PM)

Start Date: On or before January 12, 2026

Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and professional Unarmed Security Officer to provide on-site security services at a commercial complex in the Bristol, Virginia area. This position involves maintaining a visible security presence, conducting routine patrols, and ensuring the safety of property, staff, and visitors.

Schedule (Rotating)

• Week 1:
• On: Monday, Tuesday
• Off: Wednesday – Friday
• On: Saturday, Sunday
• Week 2:
• Off: Monday, Tuesday
• On: Wednesday – Friday
• Off: Saturday, Sunday

Shift Hours: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Perform hourly foot patrols of the complex
• Monitor premises for suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations
• Maintain a professional and courteous presence at all times
• Write clear and accurate incident and activity reports
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and incidents
• Enforce site rules and security procedures
• Coordinate with supervisors or law enforcement when necessary

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of security experience preferred
• Must have reliable transportation
• Strong observation and communication skills
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
• Must be punctual, dependable, and professional
• Must be able to pass applicable background checks
• Unarmed position (no weapons required)
