Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Cutter to join our team. Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meats according to specified standards and customer preferences
- Package meat products securely for retail display or custom distribution
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all tools, equipment, and work areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed
- Ensure all meat products are stored at proper temperatures and handled with care to prevent contamination
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations when needed
- Follow all safety procedures related to knife handling and food safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, meat cutting, or related culinary roles within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Strong knife skills with the ability to efficiently cut, trim, and prepare different types of meat products
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with packaging meat products for retail or wholesale purposes
