What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Technician position at STC?
STC is an independent broadband provider located 5 miles south of Iowa City. We are expanding our fiber to the home network and are looking for a customer-focused, self-motivated, and team-oriented candidate to deliver a first-class fiber product to our customers.
As a Network Technician at STC you will be responsible for the following:
· Fiber to the Home Installations
· Providing on-call coverage as part of a team
· Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining network equipment.
· Calix and Accedian network equipment or a demonstrated aptitude to learn.
· Fiber splicing experience desired.
· Locating underground cables.
The top candidate should be able to demonstrate a high level of customer focus, a strong TEAM focus, a very positive mindset, and strong communication skills. The qualified candidate should enjoy working in a small company atmosphere and must always put the customer first. Clean driving record is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Wage: $20.00/hr - $28.00/hr
