Job Summary
STC Biologics is seeking a detail-oriented GMP Materials Management Associate to support the receipt, inspection, documentation, inventory control, sampling coordination, and release of raw materials and supplies used in our biologics development and manufacturing operations.
This position combines hands-on materials handling with GMP documentation and quality responsibilities. The successful candidate will be trained on STC Biologics’ GMP systems and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming raw materials, consumables, components, and supplies.
- Verify received materials against purchase orders, packing slips, bills of materials, and other applicable documentation.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage, proper packaging, labeling, quantity, lot numbers, expiration/retest dates, and general condition.
- Confirm that required documentation is present and acceptable, including Certificates of Analysis, Certificates of Conformance, temperature records, and other supplier documentation as applicable.
- Document receipt of materials in accordance with GMP procedures.
- Assign and maintain appropriate material status, such as Quarantine, Released, Rejected, or Expired.
- Review material documentation and perform or coordinate GMP material release in accordance with approved SOPs and delegated authority.
- Maintain accurate material and inventory records with full lot traceability.
- Track raw materials requiring QC sampling and ensure sampling is completed within required timelines.
- Coordinate with Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Purchasing regarding material status and documentation.
- Ensure materials are stored under the appropriate environmental and segregation conditions.
- Monitor expiration and retest dates and assist with inventory reconciliation.
- Investigate or escalate discrepancies involving received quantities, damaged shipments, incorrect documentation, labeling issues, or other material deficiencies.
- Maintain receiving and material storage areas in an organized, inspection-ready condition.
- Move and organize boxes and materials as required; position requires some physical materials handling.
- Follow GMP, safety, and company procedures at all times.
Qualifications Associate Degree with strong attention to detail orBachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, biotechnology, supply chain, operations, or a related discipline preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately review technical documentation are essential. Previous experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical manufacturing, GMP materials management, inventory control, receiving, or Quality Assurance is preferred but GMP training can be provided.
The candidate should be comfortable working both at a computer and physically receiving, inspecting, moving, and organizing materials.
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
