Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and execute diverse recreational programs and events that cater to residents’ preferences and abilities, including arts and crafts, games, and special celebrations
- Collaborate with staff to assess residents’ interests, needs, and limitations to develop personalized activity plans
- Manage activity schedules efficiently to maximize engagement opportunities while coordinating with other departments for seamless program delivery
- Foster a positive social environment by encouraging participation and building meaningful relationships with residents
- Assist in office duties and coverage when manager is out.
- Maintain accurate records of activities provided, resident participation, and feedback to continually improve programming
- Cooking for residents for special events
Qualifications
- Proven experience in event planning within assisted living facilities or nursing homes; experience in long-term care or home & community care is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with residents of varying cognitive levels and backgrounds
- Skilled in schedule management to balance multiple activities while maintaining flexibility for resident needs
