Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently to clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet health standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup
- Support bussing activities by clearing tables, removing trash, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Adhere to kitchen health and safety standards during manual handling and heavy lifting tasks
- Maintain sanitation of dishwashing stations and surrounding areas throughout shifts
- Support the kitchen team with general cleaning duties to uphold hygiene standards and ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is a plus
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting of pots, pans, and dishware
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers or commercial cleaning tools is advantageous
