Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and disinfect guest rooms, including making beds, dusting surfaces, vacuuming carpets, and sanitizing bathrooms to uphold hygiene standards.
- Restock amenities such as towels, toiletries, and linens to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas including hallways, lobbies, elevators, and stairwells by sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
- Perform detailed floor care tasks such as carpet cleaning and polishing hard floors to keep all surfaces looking their best.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management for quick resolution.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while using cleaning chemicals and equipment responsibly.
- Support team efforts during busy periods by assisting with additional janitorial or housekeeping duties as needed.
- Any other tasks assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or housekeeping management within a hotel or industrial cleaning environment.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including carpet cleaning and floor polishing.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Good physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout shifts.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues.
