What You’ll Be Doing
As the Front Desk Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading with professionalism and positivity: Guide the front desk team to deliver outstanding service.
- Supporting daily hotel operations: Assist the General Manager with day-to-day tasks.
- Hiring and training: Participate in interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members.
- Providing backup coverage: Step in to support the front desk and night audit as needed.
- Ensuring smooth communication: Act as the main link between front desk staff and management.
- Maintaining high standards: Oversee the front desk and lobby appearance, monitor staff compliance with uniforms, and uphold franchise and company standards.
- Maximizing hotel performance: Participate in yield management to optimize occupancy and average daily rates.
- Responding to guest needs: Collaborate with all departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Administrative tasks: Prepare reports, maintain office supply inventory, and address PMS issues.
- Fostering safety and knowledge: Train staff on safety procedures and property tours.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to bring a combination of skills, experience, and a can-do attitude. Here’s what we’re looking for:
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience in a relevant role.
- Strong communication skills and a customer service mindset.
- Detail-oriented, accurate, and able to multitask under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (preferred) and the ability to learn new systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and type 50 words per minute (preferred).
- Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) is a plus.
- Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
