HOTEL MAINTENANCE PERSON (Experience necessary)

Looking to hire a full-time (including weekends) Experienced Hotel Maintenance person to ensure the smooth operation, safety, and comfort of our hotel facilities by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on all equipment, systems, and property areas.Overview: To ensure the smooth operation of facilities at our IHG Staybridge Suites Ames Iowa Hotel. maintenance staff Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and extend lifespan.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and maintenance issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and projects.

Responsible for keeping all hotel facilities, utilities, and equipment in optimal working condition. They play a critical role in guest satisfaction by ensuring that rooms, public areas, and operational systems function properly and safely. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and outdoor areas to identify maintenance needs.
• Repair or replace broken equipment, doors, windows, floors, walls, and fixtures to maintain safety and aesthetics
• Maintain outdoor areas, including landscaping, irrigation systems, and walkways.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor issues in tools, machinery, and hotel equipment.
• Respond promptly to guest service requests related to maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance schedules, including monthly, quarterly, and annual checks.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement corrective measures when necessary.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and request parts as needed.
