Front Desk Agent – Hybrid Position

StayApt is seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Front Desk Agent to join our team in

Irmo, SC. This is a hybrid position, which includes front desk, housekeeping and light maintenance duties as needed. The applicant must be willing to clean rooms as part of their role. This role is gender neutral, any gender may apply.

As a Hybrid team member, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. Your role will be crucial in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. You will also assist the housekeeping department with cleaning up rooms and the upkeep of the property.

3-5 weekends per month are required with closing times ranging from 8pm to 11pm.

Duties:

  • Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival
  • Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures
  • Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and efficiently
  • Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member
  • Process reservations and update guest information in the computer system
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
  • Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and securely
  • Housekeeping duties, including cleaning guest rooms, as needed
  • Some light maintenance work may be occasionally required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of reservation systems
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with patience and professionalism
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on providing exceptional service to guests
  • Bilingual is preferred but not required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be willing to perform cleaning and housekeeping tasks
