Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning of dorm rooms, hallways, bathrooms, common areas, and shared facilities using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to ensure a spotless appearance.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, cleaning products, and linens to ensure residents have what they need.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify areas requiring additional attention or maintenance needs.
- Follow safety protocols during cleaning procedures to prevent accidents or damage.
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as painting touch-ups or replacing fixtures when necessary.
- Collaborate with other custodial staff to ensure all areas meet health and safety standards consistently.
Experience
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred, especially in residential or commercial cleaning environments.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and carpet cleaning is highly desirable.
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and procedures is a plus.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices such as basic repairs or painting enhances your suitability for this role.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed cleaning schedules and safety guidelines.
