What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Groomer position at Stay Golden Dog Camp & Retreat?
Dog Groomer: Guaranteed $20/hr Up to 50% Commission | Brand-New Facility, Dickson, TN
Stay Golden Dog Camp & Retreat has cared for Dickson's dogs for 6 years. We have just moved onto 7 acres into a brand-new, resort-style facility, and we are launching a full grooming department. We are looking for an experienced groomer to build it with us.
The pay
- Guaranteed $20/hour for every scheduled hour while the department grows, so you are paid whether or not your book is full yet
- Commission on every groom, starting at 40% and rising to 50% as the department grows. You earn whichever is higher, your hourly guarantee or your commission
- W-2 employment with a set schedule
- Start with 2-3 eight-hour shifts per week, with a clear path to 4-5 days
- Free daycare and boarding for your family's dogs
- We provide shampoos and products. You bring your own tools

- A new space and a voice in how it grows. You will help shape services, pricing, and workflow from day one.
What you will do
Full-service grooming for dogs of all sizes: baths, haircuts and breed-specific trims, de-shedding, nails, ears, and sanitary trims. You will talk with pet parents about their dogs' needs and coordinate with our daycare and boarding team for camp and overnight guests.
What we are looking for
- Experience completing full grooms independently, including large breeds and doodles
- Calm, confident handling of nervous or anxious dogs
- A friendly, reliable teammate who communicates well with clients
