What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tasting Room Associate position at Stave & Stone Winery?
This part-time/seasonal position is responsible for providing high-quality customer service and creating an enjoyable and memorable environment for customers. As a small team the duties are varied and flexibility and team work are essential.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand and exhibit the company standards for customer service, quality, company history, and knowledge.
- Understand and exhibit brand standards.
- Comply with federal and state regulations and serving laws at all times. Reporting any situations to Management in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure environment.
- Perform tasting room opening and closing according to company policies and procedures when required.
- Explain and promote the benefits of Wine Club Memberships to our guests.
- Educate and engage guests while promoting our estate, wines and region.
- Encourage bottle sales to guests and process sales tab closing accurately.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Prepare food or perform other kitchen duties when requested.
- Change heater propane tanks when needed.
- Provide exceptional and timely guest service to members and guests while hosting, serving, or taking reservations (i.e. phone and email).
- Clean tasting room including floors and bathrooms daily.
- Help with inventory counts.
- Help with events including preparation, during, and takedown.
- Assist with seasonal tasks including watering plants in the summer, light shoveling/clearing pathways in the winter, and decoration modifications.
- Perform other cleaning duties as time allows.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year of serving experience within the hospitality/wine or beverage industries.
OLCC Serving Permit and Food Handler Certificate required.
