Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant professional to join our faculty team as a full-time instructor. This role involves classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction for our Medical Assistant program at our Maumee, OH campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality instruction following established curriculum and course outlines
- Create and maintain detailed lesson plans and grading records
- Provide timely feedback on student assignments (within 48 hours)
- Monitor student attendance, performance, and retention
- Hold regular office hours to support student learning
- Participate in required faculty meetings and professional development
- Maintain equipment and supplies for laboratory instruction
- Advise students on academic performance and program policies
- Contribute to a positive learning environment that supports student success
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience as a Medical Assistant (required)
- Qualification dependent on program and class level
- Completion of an approved registered nursing education program
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to professional development and staying current in the field
- Previous teaching experience preferred but not required
