Summary/Objective
Family-owned and operated for five generations, Stauffer Glove & Safety, a distributor leader in the safety and PPE products industry is looking for a Shipping Lead Associate to join our team in Red Hill, PA.
This individual is self-motivated with a strong customer focus and a sense of urgency. This role operates in a warehouse environment, routinely using standard warehouse equipment such as forklifts, rolling ladders, and other material-handing tools.
This a full-time position working Monday through Friday. Shift times are based on business needs and specific to each branch location.

Summary/Objective
Provide support to shipping team on all shipping functions. Act as subject matter expert for the shipping team and be knowledgeable of all shipping functions and processes, active participant of daily activities. In the absence of the department Supervisor the Lead will provide direction for the team.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for maintaining knowledge of all shipping processes and system operations to ensure subject matter knowledge to shipping team members.
- Perform all shipping area duties and tasks including preparing, coordinating and processing all LTL and Truckload shipments.
- Coordinate with Wave Planner and/or Warehouse Manager to ensure work is flowing consistently throughout the day.
- Responding to questions and troubleshooting system issues so resolutions are timely
- Provide clear and professional communications to staff and all levels of management, communicate professionally with all areas of the business.
- Receive direction from operations leadership to ensure requirements are followed through in a timely manner.

Competencies
- Strong working knowledge within the areas of warehouse material handling and shipping processes.
- Experienced in all areas of the shipping and warehouse management systems within the shipping area.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.

- High sense of urgency and drive for results.
- Computer proficiency and possess relevant IT skills in MS Office applications, Inventory Management Systems and working knowledge of ERP systems.
- Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet objectives within a prescribed time.
- Motivated self-started who can work independently and is proactive.
Work Environment
- This job operates in a professional warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as forklifts, rolling ladders, and other material handling tools. Use of office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Ability to bend, stoop, lift up to 65 lbs., climb ladders, and work on material handling equipment such as forklifts and other moving apparatus.
- Work in an uncontrolled temperature environment and in a controlled temperature environment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Travel
- Limited travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum High School degree or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 1-year experience in shipping clerk role for high volume distribution
- Computer proficiency with MS Office products and competent skill level in warehouse management systems.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Working knowledge of managing work-flow processes through warehouse management systems, specifically JDA.
