What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Assembler/Kitting position at Stauff Corporation?
The General Assembler/Kitting is responsible for assembling, bagging, and packing parts while following production orders instructions to assemble these parts accurately and error-free. Moving, unpacking, and packing material before and after assembly may be required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an exceptional commitment to safety, attention to detail, sound judgment, strong work ethic as well a positive attitude, and teamwork. Furthermore, the ideal candidate should be willing to take additional responsibilities based on business growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble, bag, and pack parts while following production orders instructions.
- Perform assembly processes under the direction of the Production Supervisor.
- Assemble, unpack and pack inventory.
- Print label to identify products.
- Reprint and close production orders using our ERP system.
- General housekeeping of working station.
- Other production duties may occur from time to time.
- Comply with ISO9001:2008 regulations and procedures.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read and write English and solid math proficiency required.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions in productions orders and drawings.
- Be an active participant in a "hands-on" work environment.
- Strong attention to detail and prior assembly experience preferred.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Ability to work with numerous large numbers and multiple units of measure.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Previous exposure to lean principals is a plus.
- Previous warehouse experience required.
- Previous experience as an Assembler and SAP (ERP system) is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand/walk for long periods – Frequently.
- Physically able to lift heavy objects to 50 pounds – Occasionally.
- Bending and twisting – Occasionally.
- Use of close vision – Frequently.
Use hands/fingers to reach, handle, and feel – Frequently
