What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Residential Service Plumber position at Staton Heating, Cooling and Plumbing?
Residential Service Plumber — Great Plumbers Should Earn Great Money
You know the difference between fixing a plumbing problem and truly taking care of a customer. So do we.
We’re looking for an experienced Residential Service Plumber who knows their craft, communicates well, takes ownership, and wants the opportunity to earn at a high level.
If you can walk into a home, diagnose the problem, explain what’s happening in a way the homeowner actually understands, provide the right options, and deliver excellent work — we want to talk to you.
This isn’t a position for someone who wants to run calls, collect a paycheck, and go home.
It’s for the plumber who wants to build a career, make serious money, and be part of a team that expects a lot — and gives a lot in return.
What Makes This Opportunity Different: Your Effort Has a Direct Impact on Your Earnings
We believe high performers should be rewarded like high performers.
Your earning potential isn't limited by simply putting in hours. The plumbers who succeed here combine technical ability, efficiency, communication, customer service, and the ability to identify and present the right solutions.
You take care of the customer.
You do excellent work.
You create value.
You should be rewarded for it.
You're More Than a Number Here
Our philosophy is simple: People First.
That applies to our customers, but it starts with our employees.
We invest heavily in training, coaching, tools, systems, leadership development, and opportunities for advancement because we want good people to build long-term careers here.
If you want to get better at your craft, improve your communication, increase your earning potential, earn additional licensing, or eventually move into leadership, there is room to grow.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll work directly with homeowners to diagnose, repair, maintain, and improve their residential plumbing systems.
That means you'll be expected to:
- Diagnose residential plumbing problems accurately and efficiently
- Perform high-quality repairs, replacements, and plumbing services
- Clearly explain findings and recommendations to homeowners
- Provide customers with appropriate repair and replacement options
- Look beyond the immediate symptom and evaluate the plumbing system as a whole
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience from the moment you arrive until the job is complete
- Maintain clean, professional work areas and respect every customer's home
- Accurately document your work and communicate with the office and field teams
- Take ownership of your calls, your customers, your results, and your continued development
- Follow company safety standards, processes, and applicable plumbing codes
The Plumber We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is already good at what they do — and still wants to get better.
You'll probably fit well here if you:
- Have solid residential service plumbing experience
- Are confident diagnosing plumbing issues and recommending solutions
- Can communicate comfortably with homeowners
- Understand that presenting options isn't "selling" when you're genuinely helping a customer make an informed decision
- Take pride in clean, professional workmanship
- Want to be paid based on the value and results you create
- Show up prepared and take ownership instead of making excuses
- Enjoy being part of a competitive, high-performing team
- Want training and coaching instead of believing you already know everything
- Care about your reputation and the reputation of the company whose name is on your truck
What We Offer
Strong earning potential for plumbers who perform at a high level, plus:
- Year-round residential service work
- Performance-based earning opportunities
- Paid time off
- Paid holidays
- Health benefits
- Company-provided uniforms
- Ongoing technical and customer-service training
- Licensing support and development opportunities
- Career advancement and leadership opportunities
- Established systems and support designed to help you succeed
- A company that recognizes and rewards people who perform
This Probably Isn't the Right Fit If...
You want to be handed a list of calls and left alone.
You don't like talking with customers.
You believe your job ends the second you've repaired the immediate problem.
You don't want coaching, accountability, or expectations.
Or you're looking for somewhere you can simply do the minimum and collect a paycheck.
There are plenty of companies where that works. We're just not one of them.
But If You're Good at What You Do...
…and you want to work somewhere that gives you the opportunity to become even better — and earn accordingly — we should talk.
We're looking for plumbers who want more than another plumbing job.
More opportunity. More growth. More earning potential. More pride in the company they represent.
If that sounds like you, apply today.
Bring your experience. Bring your standards. Bring your work ethic.
We'll bring the opportunity.
