What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Associate 1 position at StationServ?
Job Summary:
Assist the purchasing department with day-to-day tasks
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Key in transfers of inventory between internal locations
- Receive incoming inventory into the system with supporting documentation
- Post warranty and core accounting adjustments
- Manage the dispatch board when pertaining to parts
- Create internal sales tickets for items used by our installation department
- Issue and track manual purchase orders within Microsoft Excel
- Research aging open purchase orders and handle accordingly
- Order all office and building supplies for each branch
- Schedule and manage all building maintenance
- Notify supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions
- Complete customer claims on damaged goods with individual vendors
- Complete damage claims for in-transit damage with freight lines
- Complete daily filing of receivers, transfers, purchase orders and job tickets
- Answer incoming calls and emails in a timely manner
- Assist other departments with issues pertaining to parts
- Perform other clerical duties as they arise
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports
- Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience with accounting preferred but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in front of a computer screen for lengthy periods of time
- Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting, standing, and carrying.
- Must be able to move up to 50 pounds at a time
