About the Role
We are seeking an Experienced Grade Foreman to lead and supervise grading and earthwork crews on civil and heavy highway construction projects. The Grade Foreman plays a key role in ensuring projects are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently, while meeting all specifications and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Crew Management: Supervise and direct grading crews, heavy equipment operators, and laborers.
- Project Oversight: Ensure work follows project specifications, plans, and drawings.
- Safety & Quality: Maintain site safety standards, enforce OSHA requirements, and perform quality control checks.
- Equipment Operation: Utilize hands-on experience with heavy equipment and advanced grading systems (e.g., Trimble GPS).
- Communication: Coordinate with management, crew members, and subcontractors to align project goals and resolve issues.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Experience: 3–5 years of proven supervisory experience as a Grade Foreman in civil or heavy highway construction.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading grading plans and blueprints.
- Leadership: Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Safety Knowledge: In-depth understanding of safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
