As the Associate Packaging Designer, you will help lead the development and maintenance of all trays, cartons, and can layouts across our product portfolio. This role is responsible for guiding each project through the complete design process, working closely with our director of design, supply chain team and external vendors from initial artwork design through final approval. The Associate Packaging Designer may also mentor a Junior Packaging Designer, providing direction, feedback, and support to ensure consistency and accuracy across all projects. This designer will help ensure our packaging is both compliant and visually compelling while maintaining accuracy across all printed formats.

Key Responsibilities
- Create, update, and maintain tray, carton, and can layouts.
- Generate forward-thinking ideas to support future innovation and evolving packaging requirements.
- Meet with the supply chain team to align project requirements and timelines.
- Collaborate with external vendors to move designs through the full production cycle from artwork submissions to final approvals
- Mentor a Junior Packaging Designer, ensuring high quality output and alignment with brand and regulatory standards.
- Ensure all packaging meets regulatory requirements for the beverage category.
- Review proofs and prepress files for accuracy, consistency, and print readiness.
- Stay informed on industry trends, printing capabilities, and material innovations.
- Maintain organized files and documentation for all packaging assets.
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or similar field.
- Five or more years of experience in packaging design with a focus on consumer goods or beverages.
- Create impactful packaging and brand experiences that resonate with consumers.
- Drive creative development from concept to execution, ensuring strategic alignment and brand consistency.
- Strong technical skills in layout development and prepress .
- Solid knowledge of beverage labeling regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and experience working with cross functional teams and vendors.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and related design tools.
- Experience guiding or mentoring junior designers is preferred.
- Military experience is a plus.
- Estimated Base Salary Range: $65,000-$85,000 USD.
- Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, and qualifications.
- The salary range refers to base salary only and is not inclusive of the total compensation package.
