What are the responsibilities and job description for the Printing Press Operator position at Statesboro Publishing Company?
The Statesboro Herald a commerical printing company located in Statesboro, Georgia for over 75 years is currently seeking a press operator for our web press. We print newspaper and tabloids for customers all over the South-East US
Position Summary:
- Operate Goss Community Press to produce high quality newspapers and tabloids.
- Run print jobs accurately and efficiently in a fast paced production environment.
- Perform maintenance and upkeep to ensure press is in good operating condition.
- Work closely with production team to ensure customer satifaction while maintaining deadlines.
- Uphear companies quailty and standards
Experience:
- At least 2 years experience working in a production environment.
- Must have basic math and reading skills.
- At least 2 years mechanical and troubleshooting skills in a industrial environment.
- Candidates without prior printing experience may be considered if they have relevant work experience, demonstrate reliability, and are willing to learn.
- Training will be provided for the right candidate.
This position's pay is based on experience. The hours are Monday - Thursday and occasionally Fridays. This is a second shift postion hours vary from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM but subject to production needs.
