We are seeking a reliable, Full-Time Press Helper to join our production team. No prior printing experience is required—we will train the right candidate! In this role, you will learn to assist the Lead Press Operator in setting up, operating, and maintaining our Goss Community coldset web press. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to build a long-term, skilled career in the printing industry.
Must be able to work Monday 1:30 - 8:00, Tuesday 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Wednesday 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Thursday 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM, and Fridays as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn the Trade: Cross-train with lead pressman to learn web offset printing.
- Roll Handling: Learn to safely load, web, and prepare heavy paper rolls.
- Press Setup: Assist with plate mounting, folder adjustments, and ink monitoring.
- Maintenance: Keep the press running smoothly by cleaning blankets, rollers, and workspaces.
- Quality Control: Jog, stack, bundle, and inspect printed products for quality.
- Safety: Follow all safety protocols around heavy moving machinery.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: None required! A strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential.
- Physical Strength: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of a shift.
- Traits: Reliable attendance, attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset.
- Schedule: Flexibility to work assigned shifts (including potential overtime).
- Teamwork: Ability to take direction well and communicate clearly with the team.
