Shipping/Receiving Representative - Warehouse

Shipping/Receiving Clerk
Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday / 6:00am-2:30pm
Some overtime will be required based on volume.

Compensation: $21.00-$27.00/hour based on experience

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Checks in drivers, looks up purchase orders provided by drivers, and directs them to the appropriate dock doors for unloading of product.
• Verifies list of products unloaded and recorded by forklift driver against a purchase order to determine if all products were received or if there are discrepancies (overages, shortages, damages).
• Ensures proper labels and tickets have been applied before shipping.
• Prints all bills and assists in resolving any discrepancies.
• Collects all documentation and routes to the proper record-keeping unit.
• Answers incoming calls from drivers and gives directions to the facility.
• May direct and oversee the pallet control and exchange program, participate in cycle counts and help maintain inventory accuracy.

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
• Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail, quick problem solver.
• This job requires attention to detail, verifying paperwork, ensuring the right load is given to the right driver, the paperwork is completed accurately and that emails are responded to in a timely manner. Experience in similar roles is strongly preferred (dispatcher, Shipping and Receiving clerks, Customer Service for a 3PL, etc.)
• Regular and satisfactory attendance and punctuality are a must.
