Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our healthcare team. As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting physicians in various clinical tasks. Duties:
- Greet patients and prepare them for examination following clinical standards.
- Obtain medical history, reason for visit, family medical history, history of any allergies and list of current medications.
- Perform various testing: visual acuity, auto-refractions, Tonometry, lensometry, etc.
- Renew prescriptions as directed by physician & perform other clinical tasks
- Show strong attention to details and accuracy in documentation
- Rotate evening shift (12:00-8:00 PM) once a week
- Phlebotomy certification a plus
- Accurately enter clinical data into the EMR system
- Detail oriented with strong multitasking skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
