Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and process payments efficiently with POS systems like OpenTable or cash handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation practices
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and sales tracking
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest interactions
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and check splitting
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
