What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yoga or Pilates Instructor for Fall 2026/Spring 2027 position at State University of New York, Cortland?
/Duties
Candidate must demonstrate skills to be able to confidently lead a Pilates or Yoga class and must be willing to fill in as a sub for other instructors as their schedule allows. Other requirements include attending occasional meetings/workshops on a weekend or evening.
Days/Hours Needed
We are looking for Instructors to teach hour-long classes during the evening on weekdays at 4:45, 6:00 or 7:15 p.m.

Required Qualifications
- Must be a current SUNY Cortland student and able to demonstrate skills to be able to confidently lead a Yoga class.
- Must have training and/or experience practicing and/or teaching Yoga.
- Must be CPR/AED/First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Physical Demands
Ability to teach 60 minute Yoga and/or Pilates classes.
Special Conditions for Eligibility
Must be able to demonstrate teaching skills by participating in a “try out” and showing ability to lead various parts of an hour long class .
