What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistive Technology & Access Coordinator position at State University of New York at Plattsburgh?
The successful candidate will coordinate accommodation services, conduct student intake appointments, review disability documentation, and determine reasonable accommodations. This role will oversee assistive technology and alternative format services and collaborate on campus-wide digital accessibility initiatives. Additional responsibilities include providing training to faculty, staff, and students on accessibility-related technologies and practices; supporting universal design efforts across the campus community; serving as the primary point person of the Accommodate system and maintaining accurate records; and supervising student employees who support accessibility and accommodation operations.

We are part of the Enrollment and Student Success division which supports a student’s entire collegiate experience from the point of admission through to graduation. We partner with students, faculty and staff to provide a network of opportunities and services that lead to student success.
