The Accepted Student Coaches will work closely with accepted undergraduate students, using high-touch outreach to engage them in the Fredonia campus experience from the time of acceptance until move-in. The coaches play a crucial role in the admissions process for Fredonia?by providing authentic insight into what Fredonia has to offer, the coaches build trust and foster relationships with admitted students. Remote work considered.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the successful candidate will:
Create and participate in digital engagement initiatives with accepted students and their families;
Serve as liaison to the campus for parents of accepted students, promoting student services and providing important information;
Provide virtual and in-person ways for students to connect with other students to ensure they feel welcomed and connected on campus before move in.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Baccalaureate degree;
Excellent communication skills;
Possess good writing skills;
Experience living in campus residence halls ;
Ability, adaptability, and willingness to work evening and weekend hours;
Ability to multitask, meet goals and deadlines;
Committed to supporting and working with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and constituents.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's or Master's degree from SUNY Fredonia;
Experience living in Fredonia campus residence halls ;
Evidence of having participated in student clubs or organizations on campus;
Possess an outgoing, positive, professional demeanor and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of change; -Experience with Banner (SIS) and Slate (CRM);
Shows an interest and commitment to community engagement.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, temporary, 6-month position beginning immediately with a salary of $38,600.
