- Review and analyze raw market data, work with vendor through resolution
- Review and analyze calibrated market data i.e. volatility/correlation surfaces and yield curves
- Support the research and resolution process for exceptions and queries, resolve valuation queries and provide audit assistance
- Maintain standard production procedures documentation
- Propose changes to procedures aimed at reducing risk, manual inputs, and increasing efficiencies
- Prepare, review and validate checklists with a focus on accuracy, detail, audit trail, and timeliness
- Continuously expand and improve knowledge of financial instruments
- Cross-train with team members to broaden the knowledge of the group’s functions and for business continuity
- Participate in and contribute to team’s project initiatives
- Monitor for and identify production issues and escalate to management as required
- May perform other duties as requested
- 4 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor or Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline preferred (Financial Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Business, Economics or a related field)
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial markets and experience in one of the following areas: Linear, non-linear, or FX derivatives knowledge (Swaps, FRAs, Cap/Floors, Swaptions, Midcurves, CMS Cap/Floors, CMS Spread Options, FX Forwards, FX options)
- Market data understanding, ability to analyze and research on Reuters and Bloomberg terminals (both raw and calibrated data)
- Understanding of P&L drivers for Swaps, FRAs, Cap/Floors, Swaptions, Midcurves, CMS Cap/Floors, CMS Spread Options, FX Forwards, FX options
- Some model understanding/calibration results evaluation and analysis (yield curves, SABR, cap stripping, correlation etc.). Understanding of model assumptions/ effects on pricing and valuation.
- Understanding impact of broad market trends and evolution (i.e. LIBOR transition, negative rates, etc.) on models/pricing
- Programming language knowledge a plus (visual basic, c#, python, c )
- Strong attention to details
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment
