The supervisor will be responsible for overseeing a team of 10 armed and unarmed security personnel, ensuring proper coverage, adherence to policies, and maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage a team of 10 armed and unarmed security personnel
- Schedule, update, and maintain coverage at all sites, ensuring shifts are fully staffed
- Respond to no-shows or staffing gaps, finding coverage as needed to maintain operations
- Ensure all personnel comply with site-specific post orders, agency policies, and professional standards
- Maintain continuous oversight of operations and ensure effective coordination among team members
- Monitor and evaluate performance, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to staff
- Respond to incidents, make critical decisions, and report all information promptly
- Utilize dispatch and reporting software for documentation and communication
- Ensure all personnel maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards
Qualifications
- Confident, professional, and able to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and the public
- Ability to work some weekends and holidays
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to supervise a large team of both armed and unarmed personnel and delegate tasks effectively
- Able to follow detailed instructions and site-specific post orders
- Strong risk assessment, confrontation management, and de-escalation skills
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Demonstrated ability to manage scheduling, coverage, and staffing issues proactively
Basic Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Valid Wisconsin Guard Card
- Valid Wisconsin Firearm License/Certification
- Reliable means of communication (e.g., cell phone)
- Reliable transportation
- Clean-cut appearance and professional demeanor
- Ability to pass an extensive background screening, including criminal history and employment verification
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive pay: $21.00 – $24.00 per hour
