Position Summary
Duties include:
- Assisting and supporting the Bureau Director in the development and administration of all related staffing and program activities, scheduling, research, and reporting for bureau-associated councils.
- Ensuring the associated councils are supported by coordinating council requests, analyzing workflow and procedural efficiencies within the data, and preparing data for council review.
- Working within the existing program guidelines and assisting with procedural revisions. supporting website communications and assisting with accessibility requests for documents and reports.
- Analyzing data to develop recommendations for council projects and program resources.

Salary Information
Starting hourly rate for the Program and Policy Analyst position (schedule/range 07-04) will be $21.00 per hour - $24.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience, plus excellent benefits. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.
Job Details
This position will require the ability to travel statewide for conferences, trainings, and meetings.
This position is Limited Term Employment (LTE) and is limited to 1,039 hours in 26 consecutive pay periods (1 year). Wisconsin residency is required for Limited Term Employment positions.
Limited Term Employment (LTE) positions are not civil service classified positions, do not give any rights to permanent civil service classified positions and do not lead to permanent status.
Qualifications
Minimally qualified applicants will have experience with each of the following:
- Program and/or project coordination (i.e., organizing and leading workgroups, organizing work related to a program or project, serving as a lead or point of contact for a program or project, establishing deadlines/priorities, monitoring and reporting on progress, etc.).
- Conducting research and analyzing data to inform data-driven decision making.
- Developing written documents, reports and presentations to communicate data, summaries, or strategies to internal and external stakeholders.
In addition, well-qualified applicants will have experience with one or more of the following:
- Applying equity and inclusion principles and practices in policy development and analysis.
- Open records and open meeting requirements.
