The Transportation Financial Specialist 2 will report to the Finance Division. This position performs full-performance highly specialized work under limited supervision. This position supports the DOT P-Card Travel Section. Job duties include auditing, approving/rejecting, paying, and maintaining travel expense account settlement forms, Travel Expense Reimbursement (TVE), Travel Authorization (TRAUTH), and Travel Expense Reimbursement within E-travel (TRER) documents, as well as providing related assistance. P-Card duties involve creating and processing Procurement Card Administration (PCC) document requests for new and existing P-Card maintenance; reviewing, auditing, and paying P-Card transactions on the Unprocessed Procurement Card Activity (PRCUU ) table; correcting Purchasing- Card Payment Request (PRCC) errors; running reports; creating and maintaining spreadsheets; ensuring cardholder training is completed and maintained; and providing assistance to cardholders and sub-coordinators across the state. Additionally, the role involves locating and providing transaction documentation and assistance for audits upon request, along with other required duties. This position also acts on behalf of the Transportation Financial Specialist Senior in /absence. Performs related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications

**Preference may be given to Candidates with these qualifications**

TRAINING/EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Substitution: Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, budget, or business may be substituted for the required training/education through an established formula.
EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or related experience.
Substitution: Successful completion of graduate coursework from a regionally accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience through an established formula.



Promotional Only: Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a Transportation Financial Specialist 1.
