Answers telephone; pre-certifies clients, routes calls, answers general information questions
Uses a computer to enter information on clients, issue and update EBT cards.
Assists clients in filling out surveys, participant agreement and voter application forms
Educates participants and caretakers on rules and regulations of the WIC Program
Records information in Crossroads web based computer system and makes sure information is accurate
Gathers basic information for certification including height, weight, and hemoglobin
Reports needs and problems of families to nutritionist or supervisor for further action
Determines income eligibility for the WIC Program and schedules appointments
Sends appointment and follow-up letters to participants and issues identification folders; assists with nutrition classes and activities
Assists with outreach efforts for the agency
Commutes to another county one day a week with staff members from Upshur County Office
Other duties as assigned
