The Information Technology Division (ITD) exists to leverage technology to enhance and sustain business processes, public safety infrastructure and statewide emergency communications to facilitate the accomplishment of all agency goals.
This position has been designated as "in-training" - as such, we will consider filling this position at the lower level. The salary range will depend upon which level the position is filled at and the qualifications of the successful candidate:
- IT Project Management – Journey Level ($7,508 - $10,098 per month)
- IT Project Management – Senior Level ($8,275 - $11,134 per month)
Our new teammate will be able to:
- Develop and maintain effective agency and division relationships.
- Discuss Division Technology Plans, current issues, and ensure expectations are aligned with technology roadmap and technology service capabilities.
- Understand the division business process.
- Consult with division commanders to develop a technology roadmap that guides business value realization during division operational planning.
- Identify and engage appropriate participants in funding and support processes.
- Develop a technology roadmap with division commanders.

- Work with Budget and Fiscal Services (BFS) to establish and manage contracts.
- Educate and include executive and project sponsors in the relationship with the OCIO.
- Identify vital systems, services, businessowners, and technical owners.
- Identify, arrange for, and test alternate work and operational locations required to support essential systems.
- Apply the incident command system and other techniques to the ITD and ESD recovery and response plan.
- Evaluate products and technologies.
- Write and administer assigned procurements according to the process and rules established by state policy, standards, and agency policy.
- Write and select the appropriate procurement type: request for proposal (RFP), request for quotes and qualification (RFQQ), or request for information (RFI) solicitations.
- Ensure vendors are producing deliverables on time and with the level of quality.
- Report contract status and remaining value to the project sponsor, contract professional, or project management office.
- Eight years of in Information Technology (IT) project management.
- Education related to Computer Science Information Technology (IT), Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), Business Administration or other closely related field may substitute experience year for year.
- Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project.
- Three years of progressive experience practicing the methodologies and principles of project management.
- Experience providing service, resolving complex or sensitive issues while maintaining confidentiality.
- Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external customers.
- Practical experience using a variety of project management tools, such as Microsoft Project and Visio; organization tools such as Microsoft Excel, Trello, or Padlet; and virtual platforms such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
