Are you looking to put your culinary skills to work? We have an amazing opportunity for you to utilize your cooking experience in our kitchen at Lakeland Village Residential Habilitation Center located in Medical Lake, WA.

Schedule: 5:00AM - 3:15PM, Sunday - Tuesday and Friday. 

Some of what you will do:

  • Prepare daily meals by following production sheets to meet the needs of all clients and residents.
  • Cook a variety of dishes including casseroles, roasts, vegetables, and other menu items as assigned.
  • Follow and adjust recipes to ensure appropriate food quantities for each service.
  • Record food temperatures by taking and documenting daily readings for prepared foods and cooling units.
  • Prepare special diet items according to written physician orders and dietary guidelines.
  • Texture food properly to meet individual dietary and safety needs.
  • Set up and deliver meals by loading and transporting food to designated living areas.
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen in compliance with State, Federal, and Local Health Codes and policies.
  • Wash and store dishes using institutional dishwashing equipment or sink-washing methods.
  • Maintain the diet table through proper setup, teardown, and cleaning.
  • Perform deep cleaning.

Who should apply? 

One year of experience in food preparation or cooking.

Note: Completion of course in large scale cooking may substituted for experience.

Desired: 

  • Obtain and maintain a WA State Food Handler's permit.
  • Annual TB screening is required.
  • Follow written and oral instructions.
