Goal: Sustain and Enhance Agency Infrastructure and Business Processes Outcome: Increase business continuity capabilities to ensure services, systems, and facilities are reliable and operational at all times. The Construction and Maintenance Project Supervisor oversees assess control and security systems throughout the State of Washington for the Patrol. This position oversees both electronic and hard key systems. Works with others on preventive maintenance, inventories and subcontractor oversight. Assigned as expert level personnel responsible for day to day operations, training, supervision, repairs, maintenance and management of the facilities and equipment, emergency generators, diesel and propane fuel systems, and electrical transfer switching equipment. Work is assigned by Work Orders, System Alerts, Notification of Failure and Special Projects. All work is assigned based on preventive maintenance schedules, emergency or special project. This employee works alone or with other trades staff consisting of painters, carpenters, communications technicians, other mechanics and technicians. This employee oversees work performed by the ET4, Vendors, or Sub-Contractors on Agency equipment and facilities. This position interacts with Agency Commissioned staff, with civil service staff and officials from the Department of Transportation. Responsible for leadership and direction of the Electronic Technician 4 (ET4), and for all essential functions of a ET4, as well as maintaining positive and negative documentation files of work performance on personnel in their area of responsibility. Compose annual and probationary evaluations, and responsible for scheduling and assigning staff to specific work assignments. Our new teammate will be able to: • Estimate and prioritize capital projects involving low voltage or security components,. • Work with DES to manage and supervise current capital projects. • Verify subcontractors contracted repairs and improvements. • Develop and conduct a preventive maintenance program for equipment. • Plan, coordinate, and assign work in construction with other PMD supervisors. • Coordinate ongoing and future projects with ESD, ITD and Communications. . • Procure parts for staff and other agency personnel. • Prepare work orders, document invoices, maintain parts accountability, forms and records. Assist in part and equipment inventory. • Determines scope of work, materials needed, estimated cost and availability. • Order materials and maintain an adequate inventory of required materials to continue shopping. • Evaluate employee's Performance and prepares performance appraisals. • Assess training needs to include coaching; mentoring employee(s). • Conducts interviews, hires, or recommends hiring staff. • Conducts performance management to include counseling and progressive corrective action. Required Qualifications: • Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. • Specialized knowledge of access control systems • Specialized knowledge of brass key and lock systems • Specialized knowledge of security cameras • Must be able to read and understand blue prints and low voltage schematics. • Computer Skills - Must possess basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
